  • We’re looking for our next University Challenge team to represent Newcastle University in series 33 of University Challenge live on national TV (BBC)! Sign-up and come along to one of our Round 1 trials to test your knowledge and maybe land yourself in place in Round 2. 

  • Can you confirm that you will you be a registered student at Newcastle University between 24 February to 23 April 2026?*

  • Unfortunately, you will need to be a student during the filming of the BBC's University Challenge in Feb-April 2026, so you'll not be able to take part in this years' trials.

  • If you get called back for Round 2 of the Trials, you will need to be free for one of the following dates to attend. Please select which date(s) you are free for. Please select both if you are free for either:*

    To be part of the team, we need to make sure you are actually free to attend the live trials at the BBC! here are the dates:

    • 24 - 27 February 2026 inclusive (Round One TV)
    • 25 – 27 March 2026 inclusive (Repechage and Round Two)
    • 21- 23 April 2026 inclusive (Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and Final)
