Craignish Community Action Plan Survey 2025 Logo
  • Craignish Community Action Plan Survey

  • Thanks for helping shape the future of Craignish!

This survey is the first step in creating a Craignish Community Action Plan - a plan made by us, for us.

Together, we’ll figure out what really matters in our area: what needs doing, who can help, and how and when we’ll make it happen.

In the past, councils have written plans for communities. This time it’s different. This is our chance to decide for ourselves. By sharing our experiences, ideas, and local knowledge, we can create a plan that truly belongs to Craignish - and brings real benefits to everyone who lives here.

Having a Community Action Plan will also open the door to funding and resources, so we can actually put our ideas into action.

Other communities nearby have already used their CAPs to secure amazing projects and big investments - here are some inspiring examples:

    Mull & Iona Community Trust

    Ford Community Action Plan

    Tarbert Community Action Plan

You can read more about CAPs generally here

    Why your voice matters

    • Every voice counts. That means everybody in your household - adults, young people, and children - can fill out their own survey.
    • The more perspectives we gather, the stronger our plan will be.
    • Please spread the word! Encourage your friends, neighbours, and family to take part too.
    • The survey is broad and open - there’s no hidden agenda. It’s simply about capturing what life in Craignish means to all of us: living, working, learning, and enjoying time here.
    • Answer as many questions as feel relevant, and skip any that don’t.

    Confidential and anonymous

    • What you share stays anonymous.
    • All responses are confidential and handled under UK data protection laws.
    • When results are shared - for funding applications, community discussions, or with other local groups - it will always be in an anonymous, summarised way.

    A few practical things

    • How long the survey takes to complete will depend on how much you have to say! It is possible to whizz through it quickly (10 - 30 minutes) or take your time. It's up to you. 😊
    • You'll have the opportunity to save your progress at the end of each page. After you've clicked Save the first time, a box will pop up. Press "Skip Create an Account" and it will ask for an email address then will send you a link to complete the survey at a later time. This means you don’t have to fill in the survey all at once.
    • If you’d like a hand filling it in, a team of local volunteers is ready to help - just get in touch.
    • You can contact us at cap@craignish.info or on 0300 199 8521

    What happens next?

The deadline for completing the survey is Sunday 18th December

Once all the surveys are in, the results will shape a series of community workshops. At these workshops, we’ll all share and discuss ideas, and use our collective imagination to map out the future of Craignish together.

From there, we'll decide as a community which projects and actions make it into the Community Action Plan.

    Who's organising this?

The CAP is being organised entirely by local volunteers - your neighbours and friends.

We’ll do our best to keep things moving, but please be patient if it takes time. 😊🙏🏻

And if you’d like to get involved, your help would be so welcome! Everyone is welcome, and every contribution (big or small) matters.
