    To Recognize & Commend Exceptional Efforts in Support of Lampreys
  • About the Awards

    There are four categories of Lamprey Rockstar Awards: Hub Individual, Hub Team, Spoke Individual and Lifetime Individual. The Hub and Spoke awards are given annually and represent work conducted over the past year.  The Lifetime award will be given approximately every 2-3 years and represents long-term achievement in lamprey conservation. Anyone can be nominated, though past award winners are never eligible for the same category twice.

    *Change from last year: Awardees will be voted on by participants at the Info Exchange and announced on Day 2 of the Lamprey Symposium (Thursday, December 11, 2025).

    The rationale provided for each nominee will be provided to Info Exchange attendees to inform voting. Please make sure to provide a detailed rationale with examples.

    All nominations must be submitted by COB Friday, November 28th.

  • Lamprey Hub Rockstars

    Awarded annually to one individual and one team whose main work responsibilities (the "hub" of their work) are focused on lamprey conservation/restoration. Award recipients go above and beyond to make contributions to science, management and/or education for conservation and restoration of Pacific Lamprey (and/or native lamprey species).

    Awarded annually to one individual who does NOT work on lamprey conservation as a primary activity but advocates for, educates others about, and focuses on conservation and restoration of Pacific Lamprey (and/or native lamprey species) outside of their everyday work responsibilities, in their personal time, or helps find funding on his/her own to continue the lamprey work.

    Awarded every 2-3 years to one individual whose cumulative work in science, management, and/or education has provided significant benefits to Pacific lamprey (and/or native lamprey species) and enhanced our understanding and advocacy of the species in demonstrable ways.
