  • Scientific Research Abstracts

    For NASIT 2027, scientific abstracts will be featured in our scientific plenary session. Abstracts are limited to 250 words, no figures or tables are allowed. Abstracts should include the following sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion. NASIT allows abstracts that have been submitted and presented at other conferences, as long as the manuscript is not published by the time of presentation. If your abstract is accepted for NASIT, you will have the option to submit your complete manuscript to the American Journal of Surgery. See additional information below.

  • Interesting Cases

    Interesting Cases should be imaged based, and will be featured in a plenary session. Each presentation will be allotted exactly 7 minutes followed by 3 minutes of discussion.  Abstracts are limited to 300 words. They should be structured to include the following sections: Background, Description of Case, Discussion.

  • Please note:

    Manuscripts may be submitted to the American Journal of Surgery (AJS) within 4 months of the NASIT Conference (due by Monday, June 4, 2027 @ 5:00 PM EDT) for special meeting related consideration. Authors must select VSI: NASIT 2027 as the article type and include a reference to the North American Society of Interventional Thyroidology in the cover letter.

     Best Overall Manuscript by an NASIT Member - The winner of this award will receive a certificate and a cash prize of $500. To be eligible for this award, the manuscript must be submitted to the American Journal of Surgery (AJS) by Friday, December 4, 2026 @ 5:00 PM EST, AND either the presenting or senior author must be an NASIT member (either full or candidate) in good standing or have an NASIT membership application in process at the time of submission."
