First Annual Hico Chili Cookoff Sign-Up Form
Saturday, December 6, 11 am-4 pm, Green Canoe Beer Garden. NO ENTRY FEE. Contestants may be individuals or groups with up to two (2) cooks. Please be completely set up by 10:45 am on Dec. 6. Please bring chili in a crockpot ready to serve. We will provide a power source but teams are required to provide an extension cord. Please bring about 12 quarts (approximately two crockpots or three gallons) of homemade chili. No canned chili! We will provide each contestant with a table with their team name, bowls, spoons and napkins. There will be a $250 grand prize winner, along with other prizes. DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 21.

Chili Cook-Off Participant Agreement & Liability Waiver
By selecting "I AGREE," I acknowledge and agree to the following:
I understand that participation in the Green Canoe Hico Chili Cook-Off involves the preparation, handling, and serving of food to the public.
I agree to follow all event rules, health and safety guidelines, and instructions from event staff.
I certify that the homemade chili I prepare will be cooked and stored safely, using appropriate food-safety practices.
I agree not to use canned chili. (It had to be said!)
I agree to prepare at least twelve (12) quarts of chili (small bowls and spoons will be provided by the Green Canoe).
I release and hold harmless the Green Canoe, its owners, employees, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, or damages that may arise from participation in this event, including but not limited to injury, illness, or property damage.
I grant permission for photos or video taken during the event to be used for promotional purposes by the Green Canoe and its partners.
I affirm that I am at least 18 years old and that all information provided in this form is true and complete.
