  • NZPF – ONTARIO PRINCIPALS’ COUNCIL (OPC) TRAVEL GRANT

    NZPF members who have applied for the Global Principal Partnership exchange programme (GPP). On confirmation of exchange they can apply for a travel grant. Applications close 20 November.
  • OPC TRAVEL GRANT POLICY

    1. The grant will be known as the NZPF - Ontario Principals' Council (OPC) Partnership Grant.
    2. The grant is to assist with travel expenses. Total per grant is $3,000 to go towards travel. All other expenses are the responsibility of the recipient.
    3. The Grant wil be taken within twelve months of being granted.
    4. Applications for the award must be made in writing on the form provided by 20th November. The applicant’s GPP application will be used as evidence to the criteria.
    5. All applications will be considered by a sub committee of the Executive of NZPF. The sub-committee may, at its discretion, require applicants to provide additional information. Successful applicants will be notified within a month of the closing date.
    6. Applicants must clearly understand that there is no extension possible to the funding arrangements or to any time limits specified.
    7. The successful recipients will be officialy announced in the Principal Matters newsletter.
    8. Funding will be paid to the recipient’s school. Payments will be forwarded on receipt of evidence for travel (eg: receipts for flights and transfers)
    9. There is a maximum of three Grants alocated per calendar year.

     

    Criteria for Selection

    • Must have applied for the GPP exchange between OPC and NZPF

    • Applicants need to have a minimum of six years service as a principal in New Zealand and hold a ful practicing certificate (category one)

    • Quality of the GPP application relevant to principalship

    • The Grant may only be awarded once to any principal

    • Must be a current financial member of NZPF

    • Principals in schools with smaler U grades will be prioritised
