About
Held the second weekend in October, the Belknap Fall Festival celebrates the Highlands’ Belknap neighborhood with live music, food trucks, community exhibits, family activities, and artist booths. Admission is free
Location
Historic Douglass Loop — 2200 block of Bardstown Road (Dundee, Harvard, Yale & Wibben), Louisville, KY. Two miles north of the Watterson Expressway.
Booth Space
10’ x 10’ outdoor space on asphalt (boundaries marked). Tents required (white preferred) and must be weighted. Artists provide tents, tables, chairs, lighting and displays.
Weather
Rain or shine. October is typically mild (70s–80s). Plan for wind or rain as needed.
Setup & Schedule
- Friday Setup: 1:30 – 5:00 p.m. (sales begin 6:00 p.m.)
- Saturday Setup: 7:30 – 10:00 a.m. (sales begin 11:00 a.m.)
- Teardown Saturday: Begins 8:30 p.m.; streets clear by 10:00 p.m.
- Generators: Must be approved; quiet and fume-free.
Arrival & Departure Procedures
Indicate on your application if you will sell Friday + Saturday or Saturday only. Check in at your assigned street loading/unloading zone (emailed 1–2 weeks prior with map and zone). Use your designated unloading/loading zone for departure.
Security & Insurance
Uniformed security patrols Friday evening and overnight. Do not leave valuables unattended. Artists exhibit at their own risk. Festival insurance does not cover exhibitor property or injury; artists are encouraged to carry general liability insurance.
Awards & Recognition (to be determined in 2026 based on exhibitor reponse)
Judging begins Saturday at 11:15 a.m.; awards presented early afternoon. Awards include 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention (ribbons and cash).
Fees & Requirements
- Single Booth Location : 10' x 10' area= $150
- Double Booth Location: 10' x 20' area = $275
- Application Fee of $15 (non-refundable)
- City Vendor Fee of up to $20 (to be determined closer to the event)
Sales, Tax & Compliance
Artists keep 100% of sales. Kentucky requires a 6% sales tax on all sales. No raffles, games of chance, or fundraising without prior approval.
Refunds & Cancellations
No refunds will be issued for cancellations or no-shows. If you are unable to participate due to an Act of God (force majeure), the event will make every reasonable effort to find a replacement artist. If a replacement is secured, your booth fee will be refunded up to full (100%) amount paid. If a suitable replacement cannot be found, no refund will be provided. Notifying the festival as early as possible enables it to make the best effort possible.
The Festival will fully refund the booth space fee if upon application review and approval they determine incompatibility. Ample notice will be provided to the artist.
Parking & Accessibility
Artist/vendor parking details and unloading/loading zones will be emailed 1–2 weeks prior. Accessible drop-off is available at both ends of Harvard Drive (please replace barriers after use). Nearby school/church lots may offer parking.
Marketing & Exposure
Promoted via Louisville media, social channels, and Highlands community partners. Artists benefit from local/regional exposure and features on festival platforms.
