    • The maximum number of proposals is 3, of which only one can be co-presented 
    • You may submit all 3 proposals through the same form.
    • You will receive an email from us on the outcome of your proposal by the first week of March 2026.

    Conference Dates :

       23rd September :  Welcome Dinner/Arrival Day

       24th September :  Day 1 Conference

       25th September :  Day 2 Conference

      Venue                  :  E-Hotel, Chennai, India

      E-Hotel is a 50-minute cab-ride from Chennai’s International Airport.

  • Greetings Storytellers! 

    Following our successful Storytellers' Conference in South Korea (2024), we are  delighted to begin preparations for the 5th FEAST Conference in Chennai, India.   

    This is an open call for WORKSHOP PROPOSALS for the 5th Storytellers’ Conference (Chennai, India, 24-25 September 2026).  Our partner this year is our Institutional member, Springboard Tales.

    Note:  Most of our members live and work in Asia but we also have non-resident members. Anyone (member or non-member) is welcome to propose a workshop, and/or attend.

    What will be special about 2026?

    There will be five concurrent workshop sessions, each running 90 minutes, so we will be selecting 20 workshops.

    What remains the same?

    • participants get to attend four workshops over the two days
    • story swaps and the story clinics, which were introduced in our previous conferences
    • ample networking time for participants to reconnect with old friends and make new ones.

  • AGREEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING

  • You have applied to present a workshop at the 5th FEAST Conference (24th-25th September 2026, Chennai, India).

    NOTE: If you are co-presenting a workshop, it is assumed that you are agreeing to the terms mentioned below and signing, on behalf of your co-presenter too.

    If your workshop is selected:

    • you will receive a complimentary Conference Pass, which includes food served during the conference timings. A Full Pass will be given to  individual presenters. 2-Presenter teams will be given 50% off the conference fee. 
    • all presenters will receive a complimentary pass to the Welcome Dinner on 23rd September 2026 
    • you confirm your availability for all conference dates (23–25 September 2026, including the welcome dinner).
    • you (and your co- presenter if any) will be required to send logistical requirements and all additional supportive materials for backup purposes by June 2026. These may include handouts, presentation slides etc, if any.
    • you agree not to conduct this workshop face to face, as a public workshop, in India, between Jan 1, 2026 to Sep 23, 2026.
    • you agree not to conduct this workshop online, as a public workshop between Jan 1, 2026 to Sep 23, 2026.  [A public workshop means open to general public as opposed to specialised in-house groups]
    • you will be asked to share a small 1-minute video to be used for marketing purposes by 1st June  2026.


    You agree and understand that :

    1. you will be responsible for your own travel and accommodation expenses.
      FEAST will be responsible for promoting the conference; though you agree to promote it as well.
    2. photographs and short video clips will be taken during the conference for the FEAST archive and for future publicity purposes.
    3. you are expected to arrive at Chennai, India latest by 23rd September afternoon.
    4. you have read and agreed to the above FEAST Presenter Guidelines & Terms


    You affirm that :

    You affirm that you will not violate any copyright laws in the presentation of your workshop material. This means that you will not share stories or materials that are another artist’s original work without  permission from the said artist or his/her/their publisher. You retain all rights to the work you present at the FEAST conference. Presenters agree to release FEAST from any liability or harm that comes from any overlooked/ accidental copyright issues.
