• BHoF Community Council Application

The BHoF Community Council is a committee of 12-15 people from throughout the burlesque community who meet monthly to advise BHoF on how best to serve the community as its museum and social memory, and to offer feedback on current and planned program of the museum. Council members are selected to be widely representative of the burlesque community as a whole, and are expected to attend meetings regularly and to act as both ambassadors of the museum to the rest of the burlesque community and as conduits for information, opinions, and and criticism back to the museum. Note that selection is driven primarily by the need for a broadly representative body and the limits of what is reasonably manageable as a face-to-face meeting group, and does not reflect the museum's or any members of its staff's evaluation of an individual as a person or performer.
