Village Books – Independent/Self-Published Author Event Policy

Event Space: No rental fee.
Book Inventory: If Village Books ordered the books through Ingram, the author must purchase any unsold books at the end of the event, with the exception of 3 complimentary copies provided to the author.
Signed Copies: 3 signed copies will remain in the store for Village Books to sell. Revenue from these sales belongs to Village Books. This is part of the value exchange for hosting the event at no cost.
Event-Day Sales: All book sales during the event will be processed through the Village Books POS system. Village Books retains a 40% commission on all event-day sales. The author receives 60%.
Unsold Inventory: The author is responsible for taking all unsold books home at the conclusion of the event, with the exception of the 3 signed copies retained by Village Books.
