ABOUT UNION GALLERY

Union Gallery is a professionally run, not-for-profit public art gallery located on Queen’s University campus with a mandate to support artists’ creative risk-taking and curiosity, build reciprocal relationships between communities, and foster critical engagement through art.
Professional artists from outside of our immediate region are selected by our Student-Led Programming Committee through our visiting artist program. Professional art is displayed alongside student art in the gallery’s Main Space, Project Room, and Feature Wall. Professional artists are compensated according to the CARFAC fee schedule for a Category 1 institution.
Through our Call for Nominations, artists from outside our immediate region (those who are not based in Katarokwi-Kingston) can be nominated or self-nominate for future programming. We are currently collecting nominations for exhibitions in late 2026 through early 2027.
Please note: Union Gallery's Programming Committee will review the work of each artist whose name is submitted. There is no need to make multiple nominations for the same artist.
