Discover Polk invites you to participate in our upcoming Polk Street Holiday Sip & Stroll on Thursday, December 11th, 2025, from 4 PM to 8 PM. This festive event is designed to promote and celebrate our local restaurants, bars, retailers, and service businesses along the Polk Street corridor in San Francisco, from California Street to Broadway.

This event is open to all businesses on Polk Street between California Street and Broadway. There is no fee for your business to participate in the event as a location. Participating businesses will be included on the website and in the official event map and program. We bring customers to you!
🎟️ Event Details for Attendees:
Tasting Tickets: $35 in advance | $45 on the day of
Location: Participating businesses on Polk Street (between California & Broadway)
*Note: There is no street closing for this event. Streets will remain open at all times. All tastings will occur inside participating establishments.
🔄 How It Works:
We welcome wine and beer lovers to enjoy a festive evening of tastings, shopping, entertainment, and exploring all that Polk Street has to offer. Attendees check in at our ticket table on the sidewalk in the center of the event, where they’ll receive:
* A tasting glass
* A wristband (to confirm ID check)
* A printed event program with the map of participating locations
* Attendees will stroll Polk Street, stopping into participating businesses to sample wine, beer, or specialty cocktails.
* Note: This is a tasting event. Full pours are not permitted, and no alcohol may be consumed on the street.
🍷 For Businesses WITH an existing ABC Permit (Type 41 or similar):
* Note: Businesses with Type 20 or 21 permits are not eligible to participate.
We ask that you invite your own brewery or winery representatives to pour at your location, or you can pour with your team. We will include your representative’s brand logo in the event program and on the website.
We will provide you with:
* A special temporary one-day event ABC permit
* Listing on the website, inclusion on the map, and the event program
* Promotional signage and exterior streamers to represent your location
* 2 complimentary glasses & tasting tickets (valued at $70)
* Important: You will need to complete a temporary ABC surrender permit for the area in which tastings will occur. Basically, one designated table in your place of business. This allows you to operate under two ABC permits simultaneously during the event. We will help manage this process with you.
🛍️ For Retailers & Service Businesses (Without ABC Permits):
We will provide you with:
* Beer/Wine to serve with a representative to pour from the brand.
* Note: If you prefer to pour yourself, please let us know.
* A special temporary one-day event ABC permit
* Listing on the website and inclusion on the map & event program
* Promotional signage and exterior streamers to represent your location
* Swill bucket, water for rinsing glass, wine/beer opener, Ice, and paper towels
* 2 complimentary glasses & tasting tickets (valued at $70)
*Note: Please designate a small area with a table in your location where tastings can take place. If you have a favorite local winery or brewery you'd like to feature at your location, feel free to invite them directly! Please have them complete the Winery/Brewery Application on this website, and we’ll be sure to include their logo in the event program and on the website.

* Tasting Glass Sponsorship: Get your logo printed on 400+ tasting glasses
deadline is November 7th, 2025. We can put your logo (single color) on 400 tasting glasses, and you will receive 10 tasting tickets, logo inclusion on the website as a sponsor, on the posters/postcards, and in the program. ($1,000)
* Ticket Table Sponsorship: Display a banner at the ticket table (high visibility).

* In-Glass Promotions: Place business cards, coupons, or flyers in every tasting glass ($250)

* We encourage you to offer a special promotional discount for the day of the event. This is a great way to attract attendees to your business. Additionally, consider extending an offer that’s valid if customers return within a certain time frame after the event.
* Host an optional in-store raffle during the event:
Ask guests to drop a business card or sign up for a drawing. Select a winner at the end of the night—no need to be present to win. You provide raffle prizes.
