  •  - -
  • 1. Purpose

The parties agree to participate in a collaborative photo session (“Session”) for the creation of photographic images intended for non-commercial portfolio use, social media, and self-promotion.

  • 2. Consideration

This is a time-for-photos (TFP) arrangement. No monetary payment is being exchanged. Model agrees to participate in the Session in exchange for receiving edited digital images for personal portfolio and promotional use.

If images from this Session are later licensed, published for profit, or sold beyond the agreed personal/promotional or artistic use, the Photographer will notify the Model and a new agreement may be executed to reflect fair compensation.

  • 3. Rights Granted

Model grants Photographer and assigns the unrestricted right to:

    • Capture, edit, and use the images from the Session.
    • Display, publish, and distribute the images for portfolio, website, social media, print, exhibition, publication, and promotional purposes.
    • License or publish the images for editorial or fine-art purposes, provided such use does not misrepresent the Model or imply endorsement of products, services, or political positions.

  • 4. Model Usage Rights

Photographer grants Model permission to use the delivered edited images for self-promotion (portfolio, social media, websites, and printed materials). Model may not sell, license, or submit the images to third parties, contests, stock agencies, or commercial campaigns without written consent from Photographer.

  • 5. Fine Art and Artistic Use

Both parties acknowledge that the creation of these images is a collaborative artistic process.

The Photographer retains the right to create, exhibit, and sell fine art prints or other artistic reproductions of images from this Session. Such artistic uses are distinct from commercial advertising and do not require additional payment to the Model unless otherwise agreed in writing.

If any image featuring the Model’s likeness is later exhibited or sold as part of a fine-art project, the Photographer may, at their discretion, notify the Model or offer a goodwill acknowledgment.

  • 6. Limitations

Neither party may use the images in a defamatory, pornographic, or misleading manner.

Retouching or altering the images beyond basic cropping or exposure correction requires the Photographer’s approval.

  • 7. Copyright

All images remain the exclusive property and copyright of the Photographer.

  • 8. Release and Waiver

Model releases Photographer and assigns from any claims or liability arising from the lawful use of the images. Model affirms being of legal age and having full authority to enter into this agreement.

  • 9. Delivery

Photographer will provide the Model with a proof gallery of images within 7 days of the Session for review and selection. The proofs will have been pre-culled and lightly adjusted for exposure, white balance, and crop.

The Model may select a limited number of images for consideration as specified in the proof gallery communication. While the Model is making selections, the Photographer will make an independent selection. Final edited images will include a combination of mutually selected favorites and additional images chosen at the Photographer’s discretion.

Final edited images will typically represent approximately 10–20 percent of the proof gallery.

Final edits will be delivered within 14 days after the Model’s selections are received as high-resolution JPEGs via Google Drive.

Unedited or RAW files will not be released. Any additional edits or alternate versions beyond the agreed selection may be completed at the Photographer’s discretion or under a separate agreement.
