• Waiver - Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law:

    •any liability for any loss, death, injury or damage which you may suffer (directly or indirectly) in connection with or arising out of your participation in the workshop event, or any breach of the booking condition, is excluded;

    •you release us and our representatives from any liability and expressly waive any claims you may have against us arising out of or in connection with your participation in the workshop, and

    •any condition or warranty which would otherwise be implied by law into these booking conditions (implied warranty), is excluded.

    Cancellation & Refund Policy

    Instructor/program cancellations

    If the workshop is canceled by the instructors before departure, a full refund, including the deposit, will be issued. Please note that airfare is non-refundable, and we strongly recommend purchasing trip insurance.

    We reserve the right to cancel the workshop or modify the itinerary prior to departure for any reason, logistical challenges, strikes, military actions, acts of nature, or any other circumstances that make it inadvisable to proceed. In such cases, a full refund, including the deposit, will be provided. However, airfare or other travel expenses will not be reimbursed. For this reason, we encourage participants to obtain trip insurance and/or flexible flight options.

    If the workshop must be canceled or altered after arrival in Mexico due to unforeseen circumstances—such as government restrictions, weather, illness, transportation delays, or other factors beyond our control—an assessment will be made, and a partial refund may be issued, depending on the situation.

     

    Participant Cancellations
    IMPORTANT: No refunds will be issued unless a waiver and registration form (see left side) has been submitted.

    Deposits are non-refundable.

    Cancel by May 1, 2026 → 100% refund (minus deposit)
    Cancel by June 15, 2026 → 50% refund (minus deposit)
    After June 15, 2026 → non-refundable

    All cancellations must be submitted in writing and confirmed by Mandee Schroer at mansch@mac.com and lodging with Hugo Anaya info@almadelsol.com

    Buying plane tickets
    Wait to purchase airfare until workshop confirmation (after May 1, 2026) or sooner depending on your group.

    Trip/travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against illness, flight delays, flight cancelations, etc.

    Important note

    • Trip cancellation and/or insurance is highly advised.
      Additionally, do not buy your plane ticket until you have been told the class will run, May 1.
    • We must have a minimum of five participants for the class to run. If you buy a ticket before being notified to do so you will be responsible for any lost costs.
    • Refunds will not be issued due to participant illness. Masking during travel is suggested.

    In Case of Emergency

    In the event of illness or accident, you understand that we will make every effort to contact the person listed under Emergency Contact, but you give your permission for emergency medical treatment as required if such notification is impossible or impractical under the circumstances. You understand that we will make every effort to minimize the risks inherent, but that we cannot guarantee against circumstances over which it has little or no control.
     

    Photography

    The participant herby provides his/her express consent and authorization, at its sole discretion, for its advertising, promotion and marketing purposes, any photographs taken of the participant during his/her participation in the activities.

    Agreement

    You agree that upon advancement of deposit, completed registration form, that you will be bound to the terms and conditions recited on the registration page. You understand that if you should not be able to complete the course for any reason, that we are not obliged to make any refunds for any unused services, and that trip cancellation and travel insurance is strongly advised.

    You must sign and submit this waiver acknowledging that you have read and agreed to the conditions set forth in this waiver as part of your registration and you will not be considered registered until this is completed.

    We reserve the right to amend these policies at our discretion. If an amendment occurs between your booking and your printmaking course, we will notify you of changes via email.
