Camp Marist CIT Application Summer 2026 Logo
  • Camp Marist CIT Application

  • The Camp Marist Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Program gives an aspiring counselor the opportunity to enjoy an interesting and active summer. This program provides an opportunity for the CIT to learn how to become a positive role model by assisting staff throughout the day. CITs will receive feedback and direction throughout the summer as they develop the skills to become counselors.

Counselors-In-Training are volunteers enrolled in our leadership program. They must be insured by their family insurance policy, and parents must provide a complete medical form indicating clearance by a doctor. The CIT. program has an adult director who will supervise CIT development and cabin life. CIT members are not charged tuition nor paid a salary.

The CIT Program accepts applicants who are 16 (as of July 1) or 17 years of age, and in good health. Camp Marist seeks individuals who are mature, flexible, enthusiastic, those who consistently exercise good judgment and are able to become positive Christian role models. CITs must be available for the whole summer season, including the staff development week that precedes the first session by a full week.

This online application is to be completed and submitted by the CIT applicant, and must include:

  • Recorded Video Response

  • Using the video recording tool of your choice, create or record a video of about 1-3 minutes and talk about something you are passionate about.
The purpose of this video is for us to see and remember who you are, but also to see how you share information about things that matter to you. We are not judging where you find your passion or inspiration in life - this is just an opportunity to show us who you are and how you communicate.

    Tech suggestions for video recording:

    • record on a computer or phone "camera" app and upload the recorded file.

    Submission Link: https://form.jotform.com/252835737644164

At the end of this section you have the option to have an email automatically sent to your letter writers.  You must first have contacted them to make your request and explain the purpose of the letter.  The auto email is simply to provide the submission link, it is not a reference request on your behalf.  Alternatively, you can provide them with the link yourself.

  • Reference # 1

The prompts in this section are for you to provide details about the first non-family adult who is writing a letter of recommendation for you.
  • Reference # 2

The prompts in this section are for you to provide details about the first non-family adult who is writing a letter of recommendation for you.
  • Automatically Send Submission Link

Selecting names on the option below will automatically generate an email to the person selected providing a link for submitting the letter of recommendation.  You must first have already contacted each individual to make your request and explain the purpose of the letter. The auto email is simply to provide the submission link, it is not a formal reference request on your behalf.

Alternatively you can copy the link yourself or have the link emailed to you, where you can then submit it on their behalf.  This is a good option if someone has already provided you with the letter, or provides you with a printed copy of the letter that you could then scan and upload.
