• Dog Application

  • This application helps us match each dog or puppy with the best possible home. The more detail you provide, the better we can support a successful match.

Please remember that a dog is a lifelong commitment, not a spur-of-the-moment decision. It can be easy to fall in love with a cute, cuddly puppy or dog when you meet them, but adoption means committing to providing love, care, attention, training, and veterinary care for their entire lifetime. Please carefully consider the time, financial commitment, lifestyle changes, and responsibilities that come with bringing a dog into your family.

These animals have already been rescued once, and we truly hope their adoption will be the last time they ever need saving. Our goal is to find each dog a loving, stable, forever home where they will be safe, cared for, and loved for the rest of their lives.

All adoptable dogs are core vaccinated, spayed/neutered, dewormed, and microchipped.

    Adoption Fees:

    Senior Dogs: $300
    Adult Dogs: $500
    Puppies: $625
(Adoption fees help cover the cost of care provided by the rescue.)

Please answer all questions honestly and thoroughly. The information you provide helps us determine whether adoption is the right decision for your household and which dog may be the best match for your family.

Applicants must be 18 years or older to adopt from Toe Beans Animal Rescue Society (TBARS). False or missing information may result in application denial.

  • As a responsible dog owner, your dog will need regular veterinary care, including annual wellness exams, vaccinations, preventative care, and parasite prevention. Many veterinary clinics charge $100 or more for an exam alone, before vaccines, medications, testing, or other treatments.

Unexpected illnesses and injuries can also happen, and veterinary expenses can sometimes be significant. Please be realistic when choosing an amount. We are not looking for a “right” answer, we want to know what you are genuinely financially prepared and willing to spend on your dog’s veterinary care.

  • Can you afford serious injury or illness costs in an emergency situation ($1000 or more)?*
  • Do you plan on getting pet insurance?*
  • Dogs are dogs! Dogs and puppies of all ages can jump, run, play, get the zoomies, chew on things, bark at seemingly nothing, dig, explore, get into things, and find all sorts of interesting places to sleep, including the furniture! Puppies especially are still learning and may require patience, training, supervision, and redirection.

Even a well-trained dog may occasionally do something you wish they wouldn’t. These are normal dog behaviors, and adopting a dog means being prepared to work through them rather than expecting a perfectly behaved pet from day one.

  • Are you comfortable with your dog behaving like a dog and allowing them to display normal canine behaviors?
  • Chewing is a normal behavior, especially for puppies! Puppies explore the world with their mouths, and teething can make them want to chew even more. Puppies need patience, supervision, appropriate chew toys, and consistent training while they learn what is okay to chew and what is not.

  • What will you do to prevent your puppy from chewing on things you don’t want them chewing on? (Select all that apply)
