The WI State competition takes place in June and is located in Saukville, WI (approximately 1.5 hours away). Do you anticipate participating at your own expense?*

*** TEAM COMMUNICATION ACKNOWLEDGMENT *** We will once again be utilizing the Team Stack App. This is both an app for your phone and a website that you can log into to find all communications. Coaches for each discipline will utilize this app for communicating to athletes and parents. The app will be used to communicate practice updates, shoot sign ups, squadding, etc.

ALL THE DETAIL INFORMATION WILL BE COMMUNICATED HERE. It’s important to set your app to a notification setting that works for you. App push notifications, email notices, all are available within your own personal settings. It is your responsibility to be sure all who assist your athlete in this sport have access to this app and receive notifications.

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT - NEW POLICY EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1, 2024:

All families of athletes participating in the Wilmot Shooting Team are required to contribute a minimum of 4 hours of volunteer service to support the team during any hosted team shoot.

Additionally, the Wilmot Shooting Team is 100% volunteer run from practices, to coaching certification, to scorekeeping/average tracking, to squadding, to fundraising, to athlete recognition and organization of competitions near and far. Your help is needed throughout the season. The required hours are geared toward the support needed during our hosted shoots as there is a lot of work that goes into making those events run for athletes and area teams.

This policy aims to encourage teamwork among not only the athletes but the families as well and build community relationships. Volunteering helps ensure the operational needs of the team are met. Hosting shoots are a great way for the team to fundraise and allow scholarships year after year to offset expenses for families.

Requirements:

1.) Volunteer Hours:
- 4 hours of volunteer service are required at all team hosted shoots (Example: The Shotgun Classic and any SASP shoot hosted by Wilmot Shooting Team).
- Athlete or athlete’s family can complete this requirement.
- Approved volunteer activities may include, selling raffle tickets, pulling, scoring, tracking times, registration, parking cars, selling food items, etc.
- Pulling, scoring or tracking times at practices are not included in volunteer activities. These activities are needed for practices to run smoothly, but do not count toward the required volunteer hours.
2.) Tracking Hours:
- Volunteer hours must be logged, submitted and approved to the designated team coordinator by May 31st.
- Athletes are responsible for tracking their own hours and ensuring they are submitted in a timely manner.
3.) Penalty for Non-Compliance:
- If an athlete/family does not fulfill the 4-hour volunteer requirement, or wish to buy-out any requirement to do so, a fee of $25 per unfulfilled hour will be assessed ($100 for 4 hours).
- This fee must be paid by May 31st.
4.) Communication:
- The Wilmot Shooting Team will provide information regarding available volunteer opportunities for the hosted shoot and any updates to the policy through the team app which can be enabled for push notifications and email notifications. In addition, opportunities will be discussed at team practices.
- Team hosted shoot dates will be communicated once available.
Please note below if you can assist at practices with signing kids up on squads, helping with administrative duties, fundraising, set up and take down, pulling and scoring rounds or even coaching kids and helping them with gun safety.*
