This contract is between Tori's Designs NKY (the "Business") and you, the "Client".
This event contract details everything you need to know about booking us for your event. All of our terms and conditions are spelled out as clearly as possible so you know exactly what to expect.
Handicap Accessibility
The balloon artist is physically disabled from a leg injury, and requires a walker to get around. We require that the location we will be working at be handicap accessible. For liability reasons, the artist can go up or down no more than 1 step, and must have access to a bathroom during the event. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Fees
Face painting - Artist is paid $50 per hour painting for private events, 1 hour minimum ($50). The Artist can paint approximately 8-12 full face or 15-25 small eye/cheek designs per hour depending on the intricacy of the designs that are chosen.
Balloon twisting - Artist is paid $50 per hour painting for private events, 1 hour minimum ($50). Artist can twist approximately 30 balloon designs per hour depending on the intricacy of the designs that are chosen.
Homemade desserts - Dessert prices are based on the complexity of the dessert and the cost to make it. Artist will reach out to you once we receive your information to discuss options and prices.
Temporary tattoos - Artist is paid $35 per hour for private events, 1 hour minimum ($35). Artist can apply up to 45 small, 30 medium, or 15 large temporary tattoos per hour. Tattoos available will depend on the theme of the party and/or the season.
Hair extensions and wrapping - Please see the list below to learn about the types of extensions I offer along with the prices. All options are available in multiple colors, and some options are available in multiple styles. - 8 inch clip-in with 2 feathers and yarn - $5 each
- 8 inch clip-in with 2 feathers and genuine leather - $7 each
- 10 inch clip-in 3-string braid - $5 each
- Clip-in hair wraps - $0.75 per inch
- Hair wraps woven into your natural hair - $1 per inch
- Single ponytail dreads - $1 per inch
- Double ponytail dreads - $2 per inch
- Triple ponytail dreads - $3 per inch
Be sure to book your time accordingly to avoid leaving anyone out. PLEASE do not ask us to disappoint any guests due to lack of time booked. Sometimes we have an event booked right after yours and we may not be able to stay past stop time contracted here. If you exceed the time booked and we are available to stay, it will be charged in half hour increments. Client will pay for the time booked plus overrun, even if Client has delayed the time we start the actual painting.
Discounts for multiple services
If you require multiple services, you will automatically receive a discount.
- 2 services = 15% off
- 3 services = 20% off
- 4 services = 25% off
- 5 services = 30% off
- All services = 35% off
Travel Fee
If your location is more than 25 miles outside of Erlanger KY, you will be charged a travel fee. Each mile outside of the 25 mile radius is an additional $1. Charge is calculated using Google Maps, and includes extra miles to and from the event. Rate is subject to change for events more than 1hr away.
Equipment Fee
For outdoor painting, we need shade! We are happy to provide a 10x10 canopy as needed. This is an additional $25 equipment fee for any event under 4 hours. If we arrive at the event and we need to use our tent because there's no shade, this fee will be added to your invoice.
Bounce House, Slides, and Water Play
If you are renting a bounce house, slide, water fun, or hosting your event at any venue that is not your home, please check that they allow face painting before booking. Also, face paints are water soluble and will come off in contact with water. Please plan accordingly.
Stop and End times
Artist must be able to take breaks if needed breaks and have access to a rest room. If you have booked by the hour, it is your responsibility to limit additional guests from requesting service after that time. Please book enough time to have all your guests painted to avoid this disappointment.
Limitations on Artwork
If in public, the artist will not paint on any part of the body that is not legal to expose or anyplace she does not feel comfortable painting. In addition, the artist will not paint subject matter she deems offensive or disturbing.
Extreme Adverse Working Conditions
Artist has the right to cease painting and leave without refunding any monies if there are extreme adverse working conditions and the Client fails to remedy the situation after it has been brought to the Client’s attention. Adverse conditions included but not limited to: destructive, violent, or extreme inappropriate behavior of a child, pet or adult; illegal activities; or otherwise dangerous conditions.
Health and Safety Policy
Health, hygiene, and happiness are our top priorities. To protect others we kindly ask if you are suffering from the following:
-Have a cold, cough, or runny nose
-Visible sores, scabs, or extreme eczema
-Pink eye or open wounds
that you avoid close contact with our painters and equipment.
It is also our policy, when in close contact with children and adults, to use hand sanitizer between guests, clean and sanitize equipment between events, use sensitive skin sanitizer between guests on our brushes and in our water, and replace water frequently. We do not have a mask mandate. If your event requires a mask, please let us know in advance.
Invoices
$25 of your invoice is due at time of booking. This retainer reserves your date and time booked and is non-refundable. The remaining balance is due by midnight the day of your event. The Client agrees to pay invoice(s) by the due date(s) specified.
Payment methods
Payment will be made to the Business via cash, check, an approved payment card, or by any other payment method determined by the Business.
Cancellations, Refunds, and Reschedules
Should you need to reschedule your event, please do so at least 7 days prior and we will make every effort to meet your needs. If you need to cancel the event, your deposit is not refundable BUT may be applied to a different date. If you book a date with us, we turn down other clients for that time slot ‐ this is why our deposits are not refundable. We do not offer refunds for inclement weather so please secure an alternate indoor location for your event in advance. Should our Artist get sick/ have to cancel, you will be fully refunded.
Liability Statement
While we use ONLY FDA approved cosmetic grade face painting supplies, the artist is not liable for allergic reactions to paints. People with skin allergies or sensitive skin should either not participate, or have Artist perform a patch test at the beginning of the party. Client understands that darker face paints will leave a faint stain that must be removed with mild soap, water and washcloth. For safety reasons, Artists will not paint children under 2 years old or anyone who is unwilling. For sanitary reasons, artists will not paint anyone who is or appears to be suffering from cold sores, conjunctivitis, ringworm, sunburn, eczema, any infectious skin condition or open wounds. Artists will use reasonable care, but is not responsible for damage to clothing or property. The Client agrees to pay for any accidents or injuries caused by pets or guests, and/or any damage to Artist’s equipment or supplies. Under no circumstances will the artist, or her assistant, supervise children. Their behavior and safety is the Client’s and/or Parents’ responsibility.
