BBYO is curating a diverse cohort of songleaders from across Europe to lead communal singing and Jewish ritual moments at our teen gatherings and in the wider European Jewish community.
The cohort experience begins with an in-person songleader training intensive, which will unlock access to further online, monthly, continued learning sessions. After completing this intensive, participants will have an opportunity to join our roster of songleaders who can be deployed to BBYO communities across Europe to enrich the teen experience at conventions, shabbatons, and other programming.
The immersive training explores the power of communal singing, theory/philosophy of leading communities in song/prayer, and repertoire from Jewish communities around the world.

We are currently recruiting for our next training programme in Hungary, November 5-8, 2026.
This will take place alognside BBYO's flagship continental programme, Europe Convention, bringing teens and teen leaders together from our 30+ communities. We are excited about the opportunity for mutually additive cross-programming.
This training will be led by BBYO’s Senior Director of Music, Eric Hunker. Eric has served as faculty at worldwide Jewish gatherings and conferences such as Hava Nashira, Limmud UK, Limmud Southeast, March of the Living, amongst many others. He has nearly twenty years of experience songleading across Jewish denominations, communities, and countries.
All participants must be able to attend the full experience, Thursday – Sunday.
Travel, lodging, and food for the conference will be covered by BBYO and a generous supporter of the programme.
