Share Your Story - Expand Your Audience

    Oxford, MS

    August 1st, 2026

The Sanctuary Arts Festival is seeking artists from across Mississippi to participate in a special storytelling and artist spotlight initiative designed to elevate artists and connect them with new audiences.

    12 Selected artists will receive:

    • A feature in Oxford Magazine, sharing their work and story with readers throughout the region.

    • A podcast episode on the Sanctuary Arts Festival podcast, providing an opportunity to discuss their creative process, inspiration, and artistic journey.

    • Inclusion in a curated gallery exhibition and artist showcase, highlighting their work alongside fellow artists from across Mississippi.

    • Professional promotion through the Sanctuary Arts Festival's media campaign, social media channels, and partner organizations.

At the heart of this project is storytelling. We believe every artist has a unique story to tell—not only about their work, but also about the community, traditions, experiences, and inspirations that shape their creative practice. By sharing these stories, we aim to celebrate the people behind the art and showcase Mississippi as a place where creativity thrives.

We invite you to apply for consideration. The process begins with a short survey that will help us learn more about you, your work, and your artistic journey.

If selected, you will be featured as part of this statewide artist spotlight initiative and receive opportunities to share your work and story through magazine, podcast, and exhibition platforms.

We hope you will join us in celebrating Mississippi's creative community and sharing your story with audiences across the state and beyond.
