10U Pitching Coach – Roles & Responsibilities

Elevate - Gulf Coast Softball

We are looking for a positive, energetic, and knowledgeable Pitching Coach to help develop our athletes both on and off the field. This role is focused on supporting pitcher development, building confidence, and helping create a competitive and family-oriented culture within our organization.

Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of 10U pitchers during team practices, bullpen sessions, and games
- Help teach proper pitching mechanics, arm care, accuracy, and velocity fundamentals
- Work on pitch sequencing, mental toughness, and game awareness appropriate for the 10U age level
- Assist catchers with receiving, blocking, and pitcher communication
- Help organize pitching drills, warm-up routines, and conditioning exercises
- Provide one-on-one instruction and encouragement to athletes when needed
- Support head coaches during tournaments and practices
- Monitor pitcher workload and help prioritize arm health and safety
- Assist with pregame warmups and in-game pitching adjustments
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and a positive attitude
- Communicate professionally with players, parents, and coaching staff
- Help create a fun, developmental, and competitive environment for all athletes
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous softball pitching experience preferred
- Coaching and/or playing experience in fastpitch softball
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work well with young athletes ages 9–10
- Positive energy, patience, and passion for player development
- Reliable transportation and tournament/practice availability
- Ability to represent the Elevate-Gulf Coast organization professionally
