The Physical Agility Test and Written Examination will be held in-person on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

Location: Abington Senior High School, 900 Highland Avenue, Abington, PA 19001
The Physical Agility Test will begin at 7:00 a.m. (Registration Opens at 6:00 am) The Written Examination will be administered to applicants upon Successful Completion of the Physical Agility Test
Minimum Requirements

Please review the Minimum Requirements carefully prior to completing the application. It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet the basic requirements prior to submitting your application.
To be considered, you must:*

Be at least 21 years of age on or before the deadline for submitting application;Be a U.S. Citizen;Possess a high school diploma or GED at the time of filing the application;Possess a valid drivers license on or before the deadline for submitting application;Be Physically & Mentally fit to perform the duties of police officer;Must comply with Personal Appearance Policy, General Order 41.3.4 (which is included on the previous page and available for review on our web site).

Online Testing

Those candidates selecting the online option will receive an e-mail from the testing company the week of June 17th to register for their online testing session.

Withdrawls

Any candidate desiring to withdraw their application to participate in the written examination for police officer may do so by writing to: Abington Township Police Department, 1166 Old York Road, Abington, PA 19001, Attention: Kim Bryant or email kbryant@abingtonpa.gov. Withdraws must be in writing and must be received and/or postmarked no later than 12 noon on March 31, 2026 in order to receive a partial refund of the $60 Administrative Fee. NO EXCEPTIONS. Refunds will not be issued until after the completion of the written examination process.
