    ABOUT

    MISSISSIPPI PRESENTERS NETWORK

     The Mississippi Presenters Network is a non-profit organization focused on assisting and building a strong network of arts presenters across Mississippi. MSPN organizes workshops, collaborative projects, and resource sharing to support passionate, thriving arts leaders and communities which support the creative spirit of Mississippi. With the generous partnership of the Ed and Becky Meek Foundation, we are able to continue our mission of encouraging growth and capacity buidling of the arts thorughout the state of Mississippi. 

    GUIDELINES:

    This project seeks to raise awareness of the number of events that occur in communities across Mississippi, the contribution to community and economic development that result from these events, and how the work by arts organizations to support these events creates thriving communities.

    Projects or events that have occurred or are scheduled to occur between January 2025 to May 2026 are invited to submit for the awards.

     

    Projects can be nominated by anyone from a community member who recognizes the value of the event to the organization which manages the event.

    Nominees will be highlighted in a social media campaign by the Presenters Network with winners in each category receiving a $1000 award to support the growing community of artists and arts presenters in our state. 

    Winners and nominees will also be recognized at a banquet in August of 2026.

    Categories:

    The Present Mississippi Art Awards are divided into FOUR categories. You may submit for one, two, or all four selecting the same or different projects for each award.

    The categories are:

    New Art Event

    Community and Economic Development

    Event on a Budget

    Present Mississippi Leadership Award

     

     How Will Submission Be Used:

    MSPN will use submissions to highlight arts and cultural projects in our social media and to create a downloadable guide of events to inspire communities to explore how to build upon their creative resource to build community. The application is designed to be simple and touch on the highlights. We will be sharing your ideas, projects and events with arts presenters in an effort to inspire community development using the arts.

  • 2025-2026 Present Mississippi Awards

    A project to highlight the role of arts in communities across Mississippi by the Mississippi Presenters Network

  • Application

    Apply for one, two or all four Categories: You do not need to fill out every category. Everyone please fill out the first three questions, and then skip to your desired category.
  • Format: (000) 000-0000.

  • New Art Project

    This award highlights a new arts and cultural project that the organization has not previously offered. This might have introduced community members to an art space, provided a unique experience, launched a new festival or helped to highlight arts traditions within a region. This event should be no more than two years old.

  • Community & Economic Development Award

    Art Events contribute to the local community or economic development. The Arts are a key contributor to Mississippi’s tourism industry and create an identity within communities.  Nominate an event that contributes to one or both of these community-building metrics.

  • Event on a Budget Award

    Great events don’t require a large budget. Share your event that highlighted the performing arts through a performance, festival or community cultural event that was achieved on a budget of $5,000 or less

  • Become Part of MSPN

    The Mississippi Presenters Network works to support arts presenters across Mississippi. There are no fees to become part of the organization as the mission is to build strong arts leaders through collaboration and resource sharing. Membership is open to anyone who organizes Performing Arts events from for-profit concert promoters, Main Streets Associations that organize the annual town festival, or the local arts agency.
