We handle all information with the highest level of care and confidentiality. Full owner or keeper contact details are held securely by Pet Detectives North East and are never shared with any third party.

When a lawful trace or alert is required, we may issue a restricted pet record containing non-personal identifiers only, such as microchip number, species, description, colouring, and photograph.

These limited details are used solely for matching and verification by authorised veterinary practices, welfare organisations, or, where necessary, unregulated centres assisting in lawful recovery.

This process ensures that ownership rights are protected while allowing every opportunity for safe reunification. At no time are personal names, addresses, or contact details disclosed without the owner’s explicit written consent.
