BBOC HISTORY:

Founded in 2014, BBOC is a trusted nonprofit network of over 28,000 locals. We promote economic empowerment through business development, financial literacy, and events like Charlotte Black Restaurant Week™ (CBRW). BBOC was named Diversity Agency of the Year by Mecklenburg County and the City of Charlotte in 2023.

CBRW HISTORY:

Since launching in 2017, CBRW has highlighted Charlotte's Black-owned culinary scene- driving over $750,000 in local spending, 2M+ digital impressions, and 40,000+ patrons annually. Mayor Vi Lyles of the City of Charlotte has officially recognized CBRW for its economic and cultural impact via a proclamation.

BBOC WILL PROVIDE:

-Promotion through BBOC's network, media partners, and national press.

-Inclusion in the CBRW Website and/or Digital Guide (free to the public).

- Complimentary Advertisement of website, address, phone number, etc 

-Digital & Printed signage for display at your restaurant.

-Local, State, & National Press Release

-Email, social media, and print marketing 

 

RESTAURANT COMMITTMENT:

By signing below, your business agrees to:

-Offer discounted meal packages (approx. 25-50% off) - packages should be labeled $10, $20, and optional $40 tiers (3-5 items). Please do not increase general prices to void discount.  

-Provide Discount to ALL customers; current, former, and new. Also, ensure a discounted CBRW menu is available online & in-person.   

-Submit menus and pricing by Oct 18th.

-Maintain Sanitation Score of 92%+ during CBRW.

-Promote CBRW on your social media and website.

-Host one weekday "Palate Pleaser" lunch (11 AM-2 PM) to showcase a specialty dish. Submit by Oct 18th (Optional)

-Provide $100 in bite-size samples for at least one special CBRW event. (Optional) 

Participation Fee: $150 (reduced from $300) 

 

Invoices will be sent within 1-2 business days. Payments via Cashier's Check, Money Order, or digital invoice (no personal checks).
