Greyrigg/Caldecote Green Space

Cockermouth Town Council is considering making some improvements to the play area between Greyrigg Avenue and Caldecote Avenue - and we'd love to hear your views.

Possible ideas include:

• planting a number of fruit trees along the southern boundary of the area. These would be of limited height so as not to obstruct the view towards the fells. Residents would be welcome to pick any fruit.
• planting a variety of bushes along the other boundaries to enhance the biodiversity of the area and improve its appearance.
• moving the football pitch to the south side of the path, and mark it out as a proper pitch
• installing additional play equipment (budget permitting)
• installing seating (memorial benches or benches provided from Town Council funds)
