    Use this form to request a traveling exhibit from the State Historical Society of Missouri. Approved organizations may borrow select exhibits free of charge, with the understanding that exhibits must be picked up and returned to a SHSMO research center and cared for while on display.

    Broadcasting the Ozarks: A History of RadiOzark Enterprises
    The "Broadcasting the Ozarks: A History of RadiOzark Enterprises" exhibit showcases the history of Springfield's RadiOzark Enterprises, the company behind nationally-known syndicated radio programs such as The Tennessee Ernie Ford Show, The Red Foley Show, and Shorty Thompson's Saddle Rockin' Rhythm. This exhibit consists of six one-sided panels.

    Through the Lens: The Photography of Raymond Corey
    The "Through the Lens: The Photography of Raymond Corey" exhibit showcases a selection of Raymond Corey’s photographs taken during the 1960s and 1970s. The large body of Corey’s work focuses on subject of popular and historical interest such as the American Royal, the Kansas City Chiefs, and social movements. This exhibit consists of five double-sided panels.

    African American Heritage in the Ozarks
    The "African American Heritage in the Ozarks" exhibit showcases photographs, oral histories, and memories related to African American life in the Missouri Ozarks. This exhibit consists of three double-sided panels.

  • Terms and Conditions

    • Select traveling exhibits created by the State Historical Society of Missouri may be displayed by outside organizations with consent from SHSMO.

    • Interested organizations must submit their request for an exhibit via the “REQUEST AN EXHIBIT” button below and outline the specific exhibit, the dates of display, and their contact information.

    • Traveling exhibits will be made available free of charge to requesting organizations, however, it is required that the organization pick up and return the exhibit to the SHSMO research center closest to their location (Cape Girardeau, Columbia, Kansas City, Rolla, Springfield, St. Louis).

    • Requesting organizations shall be responsible for the exercise of extreme care in the protection and preservation of the SHSMO exhibition when that property is in the possession of the recipient.

    • Travel Exhibits are intended for indoor display; exceptions can be made to this policy, but additional protocol must be followed for outdoor display. Please indicate that you wish to display outside when requesting exhibits, as this is determined on a case-by-case basis.

  • Should be Empty:
