Race Day Committees
Each family is responsible for being on a Race Day Committee. A Race Day Committee Head will be appointed by the President. Race Day Committee Heads will be responsible for organizing their committee, creating a schedule, and providing it to the members of the committee and the Club Secretary. Committee Heads must notify the Club Secretary if a member does not complete their duties or fails to find a replacement.
Race Director - Help elected Race Director as needed
Flagger - Flag warm-ups (5:45 pm) and sometimes races (when head flagger is unavailable)
Pit Steward/Raceceiver - In charge of the staging lanes. Coordinates with the Race Director to send cars out on the track. Checks safety items (brakes, belts, helmet, steering, and arm restraints) and makes sure cars and drivers are ready to race. Raceceiver will check that drivers can hear the radio, then advise drivers when there is a red or yellow caution, and help drivers get in order on a restart.
Tower - Help score, distribute line-ups and/or race results, and any other tower responsibilities.
Trophies - Hand out trophies to top 3 feature finishers.
Wristbands - Handler Wristbands & Driver Wristbands - Assist with sign ins - 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Track Crew - Manage the track and equipment to help create an ideal racing surface each week
Safety/Tech - Inspect cars at the beginning of the season, help with safety inspections throughout the year, scale cars after races, help tech cars post-race.
Rookie Training - Help Rookie Director with Rookie School - spring rookie training and on race days
Snack Shack - Help run the Snack Shack - cooking, serving, register, inventory, etc.
Live Stream - Help set up and run our video streaming equipment
50/50 - Sell 50/50 tickets throughout the night - typically around 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
