    Application for Grobbel Family D.C Study Away Scholarship

  • This experiential learning award is intended to support students pursuing a degree in the College of Social Science who are participating in a Study Away program in the Washington, D.C. area.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Students in good academic standing participating in a study away program in Washington D.C. will be eligible for this award. Preference given to students majoring in Criminal Justice.
    • Applicants must be enrolling in a study away program located in Washington D.C. in Spring 2026.

    TO APPLY:

    Submit a one- to two-page statement about why you wish to participate in experiential learning and how the Grobbel Family D.C Scholarship would enable your participation to do so.

    Include in your statement what program you will enroll in, why you have chosen that program, and the dates of the program.

    DEADLINE:

    Complete this application, along with supporting materials by Sunday, November 16, 2025. 

    NOTE:

    All the required materials need to be uploaded prior to submitting the application. All letters of recommendation need to be received by the deadline in order to be considered complete.

Circle Drive, Berkey Hall, Room 221, East Lansing, MI 48823; or they may email the letter to SSC.AcademicAffairs@msu.edu.
