Holiday Parade Guidelines and Rules
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants and spectators, please review and adhere to the following guidelines:
1. No Live Santa Claus
For consistency and tradition, only one Santa will appear at the end of the parade. Please do not include a live Santa in your entry.
2. Candy Distribution
In accordance with the City of Antigo Ordinance, candy may not be thrown from vehicles, floats, or trailers for the safety of children. Candy may only be handed out by walking participants directly to spectators along the parade route.
3. Motorized Vehicles
Per City of Antigo Ordinance, individuals under 16 are not permitted to operate any motorized vehicle. All drivers must hold a valid driver’s license.
4. Registration Deadline
All parade entries must be pre-registered by November 21, 2025. Late entries will not be accepted. No exceptions.
5. Family-Friendly Requirement
This is a family-oriented community event. All entries must maintain appropriate content. No obscene, offensive, or suggestive graphics, language, or behavior will be allowed.
6. Political and Controversial Content
To preserve the festive and inclusive spirit of the holiday season, entries designed to make controversial or political statements will not be permitted.
Participants may highlight their political party affiliation in a positive, non-disruptive manner; however, promotion of political candidates is only allowed if the candidate is present and participating in the parade.
All inappropriate or divisive signs, slogans, or displays are strictly prohibited.
7. Conduct and Compliance
The Antigo/Langlade County Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to relocate or remove any entry before or during the parade that fails to comply with these guidelines, displays poor taste, or disregards official instructions.
All participants must follow the directions of parade officials and law enforcement at all times.
