Holiday Parade Guidelines and Rules

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants and spectators, please review and adhere to the following guidelines:

1. No Live Santa Claus
For consistency and tradition, only one Santa will appear at the end of the parade. Please do not include a live Santa in your entry.

2. Candy Distribution
In accordance with the City of Antigo Ordinance, candy may not be thrown from vehicles, floats, or trailers for the safety of children. Candy may only be handed out by walking participants directly to spectators along the parade route.

3. Motorized Vehicles
Per City of Antigo Ordinance, individuals under 16 are not permitted to operate any motorized vehicle. All drivers must hold a valid driver’s license.

4. Registration Deadline
All parade entries must be pre-registered by November 21, 2025. Late entries will not be accepted. No exceptions.

5. Family-Friendly Requirement
This is a family-oriented community event. All entries must maintain appropriate content. No obscene, offensive, or suggestive graphics, language, or behavior will be allowed.

6. Political and Controversial Content
To preserve the festive and inclusive spirit of the holiday season, entries designed to make controversial or political statements will not be permitted.

Participants may highlight their political party affiliation in a positive, non-disruptive manner; however, promotion of political candidates is only allowed if the candidate is present and participating in the parade.

All inappropriate or divisive signs, slogans, or displays are strictly prohibited.

7. Conduct and Compliance
The Antigo/Langlade County Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to relocate or remove any entry before or during the parade that fails to comply with these guidelines, displays poor taste, or disregards official instructions.

All participants must follow the directions of parade officials and law enforcement at all times.

Parade Formation Guidelines

A few days before the parade, all registered participants will receive an email with their entry number and line-up map assignment.

Judged entries must arrive at their assigned area by 5:30 p.m. for judging.
All other entries must be fully ready by 6:15 p.m.

Upon check-in, participants will be given their assigned entry number.
Your entry number must be clearly visible on the left side of your vehicle or float at all times during the parade.

All entries must complete the entire parade route. Exiting the route early is not permitted.

The Antigo/Langlade County Chamber of Commerce retains full authority over parade positioning, line-up order, and pace throughout the event.

Parade Line-Up Guidelines

Floats must be ready for judging at 5:30 p.m. or ready by 6:15 p.m. if not being judged.
Do not leave your float or parade unit unattended in case adjustments to line-up order are needed.
Follow all spacing directions provided by parade volunteers to ensure a safe and steady flow.
Park only in the designated space on the lineup map provided after the registration deadline.

Holiday Parade Route

The parade will begin on 6th Avenue, travel north on Field Street, continue west on 5th Avenue, then turn right onto Dorr Street, and proceed to 3rd Avenue, ending at St. Mary/Hyacinth’s parking lot.

Parade Waiver & Release of Liability

By submitting this form to participate in the 2025 Holiday Christmas Parade, I (and my group) acknowledge that participation is voluntary and at our own risk. We hereby waive and release any and all claims for damages, injuries, or losses that may occur as a result of participation in this event against the Antigo/Langlade County Chamber of Commerce, its sponsors, employees, volunteers, or officials.

I grant permission for the use of my name, image, likeness, and any photos or videos taken during the parade for promotional purposes by the Antigo/Langlade County Chamber of Commerce.

I sign this release voluntarily and certify that I am at least 18 years of age.

By signing or submitting this registration, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to comply with all Holiday Parade Guidelines and Rules, the designated parade route, and the Waiver & Release of Liability as set forth by the Antigo/Langlade County Chamber of Commerce.
