Any information you share during the engagement workshops (including this sign up form) will be kept strictly confidential and anonymised. It will be stored securly in an online OneDrive which will be password protected. You can also withdraw your participation at any point during the engagement period up until 12pm on Friday 21st November
Some of the data collected as part of these engagement events will fall under what the GDPR has termed ‘special-category data’ (as they may relate to race or ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation etc). Additional care will be taken when processing these special categories of personal data.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires transparency about the legal basis for undertaking research which will collect and process personal data. In most cases, the legal basis for research projects will be Article 6(1)(e) “processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest.” The processing of such data is detailed in Article 9(2)(j) “processing is necessary for scientific and historical research purposes”.
The findings of the LGBT+ Evidence Review will be made publicly available. All data provided by you in the course of your engagement will be anonymised and you or the data you have provided will not be personally identifiable.
