    Summer 2026 (Senior) Resident Assistant
  • All (S)RA Applicants must comply with the following qualifications:

    • Must be a rising second, third, or fourth-year student at Carnegie Mellon University
    • Achieve and maintain a minimum 2.0 QPA
    • Must be in and maintain good disciplinary standing with CMU (During the selection process, a Community Standards record check will be completed.)
    • Have previous or transferrable experiences of being an RA/camp counselor and/or working with high school students

  • Please list 2 NON-FAMILIAL references. ONE REFERENCE MUST be from a faculty/staff member or from a supervisor. A third reference is not required, but will be accepted if you wish to submit one. These references may be contacted if you are chosen as a finalist for the position.

    Clearances/Background Check
    Act 153 Clearances including PA Criminal History Check, PA Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Background Check are required for employment with Pre-College Programs. Failure to obtain proper clearances will result in dismissal from the position.

    Grade and Judicial Release:
    A community standards record check is completed for all students applying to this position. Your permission is required for this part in the application process. Failure to give permission will result in a forfeit from the selection process.

    Photo/Media Release:
    I grant Carnegie Mellon (and/or those acting on its behalf) permission to photograph, videotape, or record my image, voice and/or name in connection with the Program and to use the resulting materials in university or other publications, social media, websites, CDs, DVDs, and/or other media, for educational and promotional purposes. I hereby waive and release any rights that I may have in said materials.
