The Cape Area Pilots Association, Inc. (CAPA) offers several scholarships each year up to $5,000. These scholarships are for students seeking aviation careers, enrolling in or continuing in higher education institutions in aviation learning.
Please read and follow the instructions carefully prior to submitting your application. Also, please download and read the tips below to help write a successful application.
To be eligible for these scholarships, the applicant must:
· Be a resident of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, or Nantucket, Massachusetts,
AND
· Be a high school senior, or graduate, attending college or a university leading to a Bachelors or Associates degree in an aviation related course of study,
OR
· Be employed in an aviation related field during which the applicant is attempting to enhance aviation job skills through course work at a trade, technical school, junior college, college or university.
Requirements:
1. Complete the Cape Area Pilots Scholarship Application below.
2. Upload ONE (1) letter of recommendation from a teacher, professor, instructor, guidance counselor, or employer.
3. Upload ONE (1) letter of recommendation from a non-relative who knows you well as an individual, attesting to your character.
4. Upload your applicant's personal letter. This should include, but is not limited to: your reason for selecting an aviation career path; aviation related activities and what they mean to you; what type of employment you intend to pursue; and extracurricular activities, hobbies and interests.
5. Upload a copy of your most recent school transcripts.
Deadline for the COMPLETE application: March 31, 2026.
All selected scholarship applicants will be notified on or before the 1st of June 2026.
Note, this is a very competitive scholarship, so unfortunately incomplete applications will not be able to be reviewed.
