The League Women Voters of Washington is officially opposing the proposed initiative to the legislature (IL26-126) that would require all voters to have proof of citizenship instead of relying on the current signed statement. These "show your papers" laws are harmful to many voters' access, costly to implement and are fighting a problem that does not exist.
