A membership-based not-for-profit, Mainstreet SA delivers a range of events and activities to build relationships, activate education and celebrate leadership in mainstreet creation. Our Vision is that every South Australian community has a thriving mainstreet.
Mainstreet SA has a voluntary Committee comprising expertise in design, retail, planning, placemaking and passionate mainstreet practitioners.
In order to serve on the committee, you need to have the time and interest to commit to the following;
- Mainstreet SA Committee meetings are a mixture of online (Zoom) and face-to-face meetings, approximately 8 -10 times a year and usually for no more than 1.5 hours.
- Serve on a subcommittee - these are typically short term committees (ie. event specific) and may require weekly, fortnightly meetings for a short period of time (ie. 6 weeks)
- There are also regular emails from the Chair/Coordinator that require timely response and consideration.
- All Nominees must be financial members or willing to become a financial member of Mainstreet SA
- This is a voluntary, two year term.
