    • Important Program Expectations - PARENT AND STUDENT MUST SIGN BELOW THAT THEY HAVE READ AND ACKNOWLEDGE OUR POLICIES

Our program is designed to be an immersive, educational, and respectful experience for all participants. Please read the following carefully before applying.

      Sleeping Arrangements
Students will stay in dorm-style housing, separated by male and female rooms. If this arrangement is not suitable for your student for any reason (such as privacy concerns), we ask that you do not apply.

      Lights Out
A set “lights out” time is strictly enforced each night. Students must have the maturity and self-discipline to respect this rule. If this will be a challenge, please refrain from applying.

      Phones and Communication
Students will not have access to their phones during the program in Normandy. In the event of an emergency, communication will of course be made immediately. However, regular phone check-ins will not be allowed. If this feels uncomfortable for you or your student, this program may not be the right fit.

      Interest and Engagement
Before applying, please ask your student—and yourself—honestly:

Does your student have a genuine interest in history?
This program teaches leadership through the lessons of D-Day and World War II. It is academically and emotionally intensive and requires focus, curiosity, and engagement. If your student is not interested in history, this is not the right program for them.

      Behavior and Respect
Students are expected to show complete respect for all group leaders and peers at all times. Disrespect, disruption, or uncooperative behavior will not be tolerated. Please make sure your student is mature enough to be away from home and function well in a structured group setting for 8 days.

      Cultural Openness and Food
Students will experience authentic French culture and cuisine. While we can accommodate dietary needs and allergies, students should be open to traditional Norman meals, which often include chicken, beef or pork, potatoes, and rice. American-style foods such as hamburgers or chicken nuggets will not be available. If your student is not open to trying new foods or cultural experiences, this may not be the right program.

      Attitude and Accountability
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for complaining.
If a legitimate problem arises, our team will address it quickly and appropriately. However, we expect every student to contribute positively and uphold our high standards. This program is made possible through significant effort and resources, and we cannot allow one student’s negativity or behavior to detract from the experience of others.

      Consequences for Policy Violations
Violation of any of these policies may result in immediate removal from the program and early travel home at the family’s expense. We ask that you respect the purpose and integrity of what we are doing here and carefully consider whether this is the right fit for your student.

We promise a life-changing experience for those who come ready to learn, grow, and honor the spirit of the program—but our guidelines must be followed completely.
