South Florida Youth Lacrosse League (SFYLL) is the governing body for a collection of 501.c.3 non-profit organizations that are created to grow the game of lacrosse with youth players (K through 8th grades) in South Florida. These are all-inclusive programs that are no-cut programs and accept players of all skill sets. All partipating programs are required to be 501.c.3 entities or run by their city recreation department. Programs are expected to offer the sport to girls and boys. The league is NOT for travel lacrosse programs that compete in travel tournaments. Our season runs from the end of January to the end of April with games being played on Saturdays at various locations in the area.
USA Lacrosse Membership - All players and coaches must be current members of USA Lacrosse through the end of the season
State of Florida requirements (per Florida Statute 943.0438) - Background checks on all coaches and volunteers are required (USA Lacrosse provides). Coaches need to be trained in concussion protocols
