Trader Terms & Conditions
Confirming Your Attendance
If your application is successful you will receive a confirmation email from the event organisers with further details about the event.
You must respond to this email to accept or refuse your market pitch within 7 days
Failure to respond by the deadline may result in the event organisers offering your pitch to someone else.
Cancellation
If you need to cancel your pitch for any reason you should inform the event organisers, by email, giving as much notice as possible. This allows for adjustments to be made to the layout or trader line up at the event.
If you fail to turn up for an event without giving notice, the event organisers may decide not to permit you to trade at future events.
If an event is cancelled or postponed by the event organiser, all traders will be notified by email, giving as much notice as possible. In unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather or other reasons beyond our control, we will inform traders as soon as possible.
Prohibited Trading
It is the trader’s responsibility to ensure their products conform to any safety and compliance standards.
Stalls representing political parties or political views are not permitted.
Traders are not permitted to sell products containing alcohol.
It is at the discretion of the Market Manager to request traders not to display or sell products that they deem inappropriate, unsafe or hazardous.

Insurance
The event and associated infrastructure such as gazebos and tables will be covered by the Market Organiser’s Public Liability Insurance.
Traders are not permitted to amend, move or tamper with any equipment such as gazebos and tables and must raise any issues with the Market Manager if required.
Layout & Equipment
All trader's equipment must be in good repair and operated in a safe manner.
The exact location and dimensions of each stall will be determined by the event organisers. This decision is final.
The event organiser reserves the right to alter any stall location, change the layout or vary the trading times on any occasion and no party will have exclusive occupation of any site.
Traders should remain within their allocated trading space, not encroach on walkways or other stalls, and keep emergency access clear.
Traders should inform the event organisers well in advance of the event of any particular requirements for your stall, physical needs or extenuating circumstances. This will help us to plan accordingly and accommodate such needs where possible.
Arrival, Set up and Take Down
Stalls should be fully set up and ready for trade half an hour before the market's scheduled opening time. Stallholders are expected to display their goods and produce until the market closes and are not permitted to dismantle their stalls prior to the market's scheduled closing time.
Stallholders must vacate the market within one hour after the market's closure.
Traders are expected to maintain a tidy and hygienic environment at all times.
Removal of Waste
All waste generated must be removed by traders from the market site and disposed of appropriately. All traders are responsible for leaving their site and surrounding area clean and tidy.
Health & Safety
Traders are responsible for supplying their own first aid kit. Event staff are not qualified to administer first aid to traders or the public.
All traders under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the day.
Code of Conduct
Any form of aggressive, abusive, or intimidating behaviour is strictly prohibited. Non-compliance will result in immediate expulsion from the market(s).
Traders must comply with any reasonable instruction given by the council’s representative on the day.
