  • Scholarship Overview

    The Arizona Farm & Ranch Legacy Scholarship honors the men and women who built Arizona’s agricultural heritage by supporting the next generation of students dedicated to continuing that legacy.

    This annual $500 scholarship is awarded to Arizona residents ages 17–19 who are high school seniors or currently enrolled in a college or trade school. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be pursuing a degree or certification in agriculture, agribusiness, animal science, plant science, or a related field.

    Recipients are chosen based on their passion for agriculture, academic achievement, community involvement, and vision for the future of Arizona farming and ranching.

  • Selection Process

    All completed applications will be carefully reviewed by the Arizona Farm & Ranch Hall of Fame Scholarship Committee.  The committee is made up of agricultural professionals, educators, and community leaders dedicated to honoring Arizona’s farming and ranching legacy while supporting the next generation.  The committee evaluates each application with fairness, integrity, and respect for the applicant’s privacy.

    To ensure impartiality, applicant names and identifying information will be removed during the initial review process. Committee members will evaluate applications based solely on the quality of content, academic record, and demonstrated commitment to Arizona agriculture.

    Selection is based on the following criteria:

    • Essay & Agricultural Vision (40%) – Demonstrates a thoughtful understanding of Arizona’s agricultural heritage, a personal connection to agriculture, and a clear vision for contributing to its future.
    • Academic Achievement (20%) – Overall GPA and academic commitment.
    • Community Involvement & Leadership (20%) – Participation in agricultural programs, volunteer service, and leadership experience.
    • Letters of Recommendation (20%) – Strength of character and potential for future impact in agriculture.

    Notification of Recipients: On or before March 1, 2026
    Recognition Event: Scholarship recipients will be honored at the Arizona Farm & Ranch Hall of Fame Dinner on March 22, 2026, at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass (Phoenix, AZ).


    Final selections are made based on merit, character, and alignment with the mission of the Arizona Farm & Ranch Hall of Fame — celebrating the past, present, and future of Arizona agriculture.

  • Disbursement of Funds

    Scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to the recipient’s college, university, or vocational institution upon verification of enrollment.
    Recipients will be asked to provide the name of their institution, student ID number, and mailing address of the financial aid or bursar’s office.

    Funds may be applied toward tuition, books, fees, or approved educational expenses.
    If a recipient does not enroll in an eligible post-secondary program within one year of award notification, the scholarship will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate recipient.

    Scholarship recipients will be recognized publicly at the Arizona Farm & Ranch Hall of Fame Dinner on March 22, 2026, at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass in Phoenix, AZ.

  • Submission Deadline

    All applications and required materials must be submitted no later than February 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (Arizona time).

    Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
    Be sure to review your form carefully and verify that all required documents—your essay, transcript, and three letters of recommendation—are uploaded before submitting.

    Applicants will receive a confirmation email once their submission has been received successfully.
