The wānanga focuses on traditional Māori healing, supporting whānau to reduce reliance on harmful chemicals, such as formaldehyde, which do not break down in Papatūānuku, while nurturing and restoring balance through ngā rongoā Māori tuku iho.
Over the coming year, our wānanga will explore traditional ways of caring for tūpāpaku at home and help reconnect whānau with tangihanga tikanga, karanga, and whaikōrero.
It is a time and space for sharing stories, learning together, and strengthening our connection to culture.
