  • Program Overview

The Ubuntu Youth Empowerment Program is a six-month initiative designed to build resilience, leadership, and positive pathways for African Australian youth aged 13–17 in Western Australia.
Grounded in the African philosophy of Ubuntu – “I am because we are”, the program helps young people strengthen their sense of identity, belonging, and community connection.

Delivered through a Friday–Saturday model, the program blends learning with real-world practice:

Fridays: Interactive workshops on life skills, mental health, digital safety, relationships and many more topics.
Saturdays: Dynamic Practical sessions with role plays, challenges, and teamwork activities.
By combining knowledge and practice, Ubuntu empowers young people to make positive choices, manage emotions, and thrive within their families and communities.
