  • Position Preferences

  • USG of Logistics:

The Under-Secretary-General of Logistics is responsible for conference logistics, sponsorships, and hotel rooming assignments. They will be working closely with the Secretary General and the Director General to secure conference materials via sponsors and various external outlets, as well as overseeing internal documents and contracts. Along with the USG Outreach, the USG of Logistics will serve as the primary contact for sponsors, presenting speakers, and other external stakeholders. Additionally, the USG of Logistics should record financial expenditure and miscellaneous inventories. A successful candidate demonstrates competency in professional writing and rhetoric, possesses an amiable and charismatic persona, is detail-oriented and organized, and demonstrates an exemplary work ethic and dedication to the conference.

  • USG of Committees:

The Under-Secretary-General of Committees will play a key role in the substantive program of the conference. They must have strong writing, editing, and research skills in addition to vast knowledge on current events. The USG of Committees will be working closely with select Senior Board Members, the Secretary-General, Director-General, Chief of Staff, and all the members of the Committee Staff to effectively complete the substantive program, which consists of backgrounder writing, position paper marking, etc. The substantive program is geared towards helping the delegates and faculty advisors navigate the conference and Model UN as a whole.

  • USG of Delegate Affairs:

The Under-Secretary-General of Delegate Affairs works closely with the Secretary-General, Director-General, and external stakeholders ranging from delegates to faculty advisors to board members. The USG of Outreach should be an ambitious visionary, ready to grow the conference and organization and adapt to challenges. They should also be comfortable with reaching out and speaking to new people. While this role is less-focused on the conference, it still calls for a significant time commitment. Be ready for a fast-paced, but exciting, work schedule.
