Online Capacity Building Workshop Empowering Business Women in the WEFE Nexus

The Union for the Mediterranean invites women entrepreneurs from across the Mediterranean region to join an exclusive online capacity-building workshop designed to help you scale your business through sustainable practices and access to gender-responsive financing.

About the Workshop

This interactive 3-hour online workshop will equip you with practical tools and knowledge to:

Understand how water, energy, food, and ecosystem connections can create new revenue streams for your business
Navigate the landscape of gender-lens investing and learn about typical gender criteria used by some of the Development Finance Institutions
Discover financing facilities specifically available to women-led businesses across the Mediterranean
Connect with regional networks and fellow women entrepreneurs building sustainable enterprises

Who Should Apply

The workshop is dedicated to women entrepreneurs from Mediterranean countries who are founders, owners, or senior leaders of small and medium-sized enterprises. Businesses at all stages are welcome to apply. In case registrations exceed capacity, priority may be given to those in their growth stage.

All sectors are also welcome. Participants whose businesses are connected to the water, energy, food, or environmental sectors are particularly encouraged to apply.

Format: Online via Zoom.
Duration: 3 hours (9:30 AM – 12:30 PM CET)
Date: To choose between December 3 and December 12, 2025
Capacity: Limited to 30 participants per session
Language: Conducted in English
Certificate: Provided upon completion and post-event survey

Space is limited. Applications will be reviewed, and priority will be given to growth-stage businesses from non-EU Mediterranean countries. We aim to ensure geographic and sectoral diversity among participants.
