2026 MSAWWA-MWEA Conference Call For Program Abstracts Logo
  • This is a Call for Program Abstracts to be presented at the 2026 MSAWWA-MWEA Joint Conference which will be held in Butte, Montana. A Preconference will be held on April 28, 2026 followed by the Joint Conference on April 29 & 30, 2026. MSAWWA and MWEA are teaming up once again to provide great training and networking opportunities for all attendees.

Abstracts are also being sought for the MSAWWA hosted Preconference.  The theme for the 2026 Preconference is "Water of the West: Building Resiliency & Optimization."

The Joint Conference Program Committee is developing a technical program that will focus on water, wastewater, and stormwater issues.  Abstracts that are specifically pertinent to Montana and the West will be selected by the program committee. Speakers from the region are encouraged to submit an abstract. Abstracts should be geared toward the overall theme for the Joint Conference which is “Working Together To Protect Montana’s Water Resources”.

The Conference program will be developed from submitted and solicited abstracts. The Joint Conference technical sessions will address subjects of specific interest to professionals working with Montana’s water resources. Presentations are to be 45 minutes in length, including Q & A. Additional written material may be provided for a more thorough understanding of complex information.

Please note that all selected speakers are required to pay the complete registration fee if chosen to present at the conference. If payment is not received by April 15, 2026, you will be removed from the agenda.

Any interested party is welcome to submit an abstract for the 2026 Preconference or Conference program.  In addition, any Exhibitors who register for a booth space at the conference are also welcome to submit abstracts for consideration for an Exhibitor Session.  A limited number of Exhibitors who have abstracts selected will be offered the opportunity to give presentations in the Exhibitor Area at their booth space.  Exhibitors, when submitting abstracts please recognize that any presentation needs to be educational in content, with a description of what attendees will learn.  Sales pitch presentations will not be selected for the program. Presentations submitted for presentation in the Exhibitor area are to be 30 minutes in length, including Q & A.  Additional written material may be provided for a more thorough understanding of complex information.  Please note that the number of presentations chosen will be limited due to space and time available for this additional track.

Deadline for submission is December 19, 2025. All abstracts must be submitted electronically utilizing this form. You will be required to attach your abstract (around 500 words please) and short bios for all speakers at the bottom of this form.
