    Brow Lamination/ Waxing/ Tinting Services
  • Brow Lamination (Pre-Care):


    Come to your appt with no make up on/ around the brow area.


    No waxing of razoring the brow area within the last 24 hours.


    Please avoid trimming or grooming the brow within 3 weeks prior to your appt.
    DISCONTINUE using products that contain AHA, RetiinA, Accutane, glycolic products or any other skin-thinning products at least 3 days prior to your appt.


    No Henna within the las 8 weeks.


    If you have had micro needling (please ensure to book your lamination appt at least 2 weeks after your micro needling service, if your having deeper micro needling done please wait 4-6 weeks).


    If you’ve have laser hair removal in the brow area recently (wait at least 2-4 weeks)


    Chemical Peels (To air on the side of caution, please avoid scheduling within the following time frames listed below based on your type of peel done)

    LIGHT PEEL (wait 2 weeks post peel)
    MEDIUM PEELS (wait 4-6 weeks post peel)
    DEEP PEELS (wait at least 8 weeks post peel) to book your brow lamination service.


    Microdermabrasion & Dermaplaning:

    The skin may be too raw or sensitive, increasing the risk of irritation, redness, skin lifting, or minor abrasions from waxing.
    Tint may absorb quicker; risking a darker than desired tint.
    Please wait a minimum of 2 weeks before scheduling your brow lamination after having microdermabrasion or dermaplaning.

     

  • Brow Lamination (After Care):


    DO NOT get the brows wet or apply any products on the brows during the first 24 hours after treatment.

    This includes: showering, steam from hot baths and/or saunas, sweating, facials and make up.


    Please be aware of how you sleep at night, please try to avoid sleeping on your face/ or side.

    This can kink the brows in odd directions, resulting in an undesired look.
    DO NOT apply Retin-A, Alpha Hydroxy acid (AHA), Renova, Accutane or exfoliate around the brow area for at least 72 hours before and after treatments.


    Avoid long exposure to direct sunlight and heat as it can weaken the effect, wear hats and Sunscreen to protect the brows from the strong UV rays.


    Brush the brows daily with a brow spoolie to keep the lamination strong
    Use castor oil or any keratin nourishing brow oil (at least 3 times weekly) to help keep the brows hydrated and nourished. This will help prevent them from drying out and turning frizzy as they grow out; apply before bed and rinse off the next morning.

     

  • Brow Lamination (Contraindications):


    Skin conditions: Psoriasis, eczema, alopecia, sunburn, ultra-sensitive skin, wounds or scar tissue, infection, pimple in the brow area.


    If you’ve recently havd microblading, shading, powder brows

    It’s recommended to wait a Minimum of 6-8 weeks after your procedure to get a brow lamination
    Clients must wait a minimum of 2-8 weeks after skin treatments such as:

    Facials, laser facials, laser hair removal, henna tinting, microneedling, chemical peels, microdermabrasion. 


    if you are using retinol, AHA and BHA
    if you are taking accutane
    If you are Pregnant or currently breast feeding.
    if you have chemically damaged brow hair.
    Curly hair consists of more disulphides bonds, lift lotions may not break or reform all bonds causing unpredictable results.


    Allergic reaction symptoms such as:

    itching, severe burning, skin flaking or peeling, inflammation or blisters
