Year 33 WSP Placement Site Application Logo
  • Thank you for your interest in beginning or continuing a partnership with the:

California Conservation Corps Watershed Stewards Program in partnership with AmeriCorps (WSP).

In our 33rd year, we are looking to partner with a diverse group of fisheries and restoration organizations throughout California to each host 2-4 WSP Corpsmembers (CMs) from October 5, 2026, to August 19, 2027.

This application, along with resumes for ALL NEW Mentors and Site Supervisors, is DUE no later than COB February 6th, 2026.

Please review the "Host Corpsmembers" WSP page on the CCC’s website before completing this application to learn about partner roles, responsibilities, and benefits, as well as the criteria used in selecting sites. The quality and timeliness of your application will be taken into careful consideration. Please respond to each question in full.

Information about the submission process using Jotform:

    • For your convenience, at the bottom of this page is a "Save" button that will allow you to continue later via an emailed link.
    • To submit your application, please hit the "Submit" button on the next page.
    • You will see a "thank-you" page once you have applied.
      • Your main Point of Contact (POC) and any additional POCs (if your site is made up of more than one organization) should receive a confirmation email with an attached PDF copy of your application.
      • Password for the PDF is: "CCCwsp33!"
      • You also have the option to sign in to JotForm and download a copy of your application.
      • While it would be ideal to set up collaborative form entries for those applicants made up of multiple organizations, the system does not allow that function.

If you have any questions, please contact us at wsp.info@ccc.ca.gov.

    • Placement Site Information
    • If you have not already done so, please reach out to WSP.INFO@ccc.ca.gov ASAP to schedule a time when we can meet with you virtually or in person to discuss your application and interest in hosting WSP Corpsmembers.

    • Staff Roles
    • Site Supervisor: (one per partnering organization) is responsible for overall Placement Site, Corpsmember (CM), Mentor, and Field Leader supervision, as well as general program compliance. The Site Supervisor may not necessarily have daily contact with CMs but is ultimately responsible for all WSP program requirements and contracted expectations including safety, adherence to program policies, reporting, and the timely submission of paperwork.

The Site Supervisor position cannot be filled by the same person listed as a Mentor and must be stationed at the same office the Corpsmembers would be serving at for the organization. Site Supervisors are not permitted to oversee more than one Placement Site.

    • Mentor: (minimum one required per site) Mentors supervise and manage Corpsmembers, verify hours and data, sign timesheets and conduct performance reviews, oversee safety, ensure program objectives are met, participate in WSP recruitment, attend WSP trainings and events, etc. WSP alumni must have a minimum of three years’ post-WSP experience to qualify as a Mentor.

Maximum five Mentors per Placement Site. Refer to the Placement Site/Partner Responsibilities that include a Mentor Position Description PDF linked on the WSP Website.

    • Contract Signatory: (minimum one required) The Contract Signatory will sign any agreement or legal contract between your organization and the California Conservation Corps (CCC) aka WSP's legal entity. This position is required for each organization that makes up your Placement Site, be that the main agency or organization, additional organizations where Corpsmembers will serve hours or additional funders. This position can be held by the Site Supervisor, Mentor, or other administrative staff, but this person must be authorized to sign the legal contract/agreement on behalf of the organization.

If your organization has more than one Contract Signatory (one for fiscal and one for agreement or for additional organizations) please ensure to include their information and affiliation.

    • Field Leader: This position is not required. A Field Leader (FL) contributes to the Corpsmember (CM) experience and may lead the CMs in the field or office projects. FLs do not supervise or evaluate CMs and are not approved to sign timesheets or other program documents, except Safety Logs. Field Leaders are just that, a non-supervisory position that guides others in the field and may be the point of contact for the day’s activities, transportation or safety.

Note: The CCC Fraternization policy does not apply to FLs.

    • Funding Information and Request for Corpsmembers
    • In this section you will identify funding security, the number of Corpsmembers you are requesting as well as the resulting total amount that your Placement Site will pay in match.

If your Placement Site is made up of multiple funders, you must identify who the funders are and the specific amount of match they will provide.

Through the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) Fisheries Restoration Grant Program (FRGP), WSP is able to offer a limited number of Corpsmember placement slots to CDFW offices that qualify. CDFW offices that qualify may identify "FRGP" as the Funder below. If you do not know if your CDFW office qualifies, please contact WSP.INFO@ccc.ca.gov to inquire, prior to submitting this application.

Please note that for all field work Corpsmembers must be accompanied by someone who is CPR and First Aid certified. WSP provides Corpsmembers this certification at the start of the term, so they can fullfill this role for each other (if serving in pairs or more).
