Buffalo Prep advocates for educational access and equity and provides programming to academically ambitious scholars. We strive to nurture our scholars’ brilliance while empowering them to engage civically as their authentic selves.
Middle School Prep (MSP) supports post-5th and -6th grade motivated scholars across Western New York with accelerated educational enrichment. MSP is an engaging, five-week summer program, during the crucial middle school years, that keeps scholars engaged through a culturally relevant, fun, and stimulating learning environment. This program nurtures a love of learning, cultivates peer-to-peer connection, and prepares scholars for success in their educational aspirations. It takes place at Nichols Middle School. The 2026 summer session will start July 6 and run Monday-Friday from 8:45am-4pm until August 7.

- The application deadline is Friday, April 3, 2026.

- Paper applications are available upon request.

- There is a $50.00 fee for this program. The fee should be paid before programming begins in July 2026. If there is a barrier to making this payment, or you would like to create a payment plan, please contact eguzman@buffaloprep.org.
For your scholar to be considered, please complete the following steps:
- Complete and submit this application
- Submit an essay written by your scholar. We'll provide topics after receiving your application
- Turn in a signed Academic Records Request Form to the main office at your scholar's school(s)
- Ask two teachers for recommendations and provide them with the Teacher Recommendation Form which will be sent home in your application packet
- Upload financial records (1040) Click here for income eligibilty guidelines. If you have them, you can upload your tax documents at the end of this application
  
  After we receive your application, we will mail you a packet with information on how to complete these steps. Additionally, a representative from our office will be in touch to help answer any remaining questions.
