HLF Engagement Fund Application 2026

Engagement Funds available through the Halton Learning Foundation enable HDSB schools to purchase needed resources and fund educational programs and experiences that align with priorities outlined in the HDSB's Multi-Year Strategic Plan.

In the fall of 2025, HLF will accept applications in the following areas that are aligned with the commitments of the HDSB's Multi-Year Strategic Plan:

Mental Health and Well-Being/Kindness, Connection and Community
Indigenous Rights and Education
Human Rights, Equity and Inclusion

Applications are due by November 17, 2025 at 5 PM. Decisions will be communicated by December 12, 2025.

HLF is grateful for the support of RBC in funding Mental Health and Well-Being Projects.

Other project areas are funded by donations to HLF.

The maximum grant available this year is $1,200.

HLF will be approving projects by December 12, 2025. If your project is approved, we will send an email confirming that your project is funded. HLF will also send a cheque requisition to the school's senior secretary or business manager to help them prepare for submitting expenses.

I understand by submitting this request that I will be responsible for providing an interim progress report on the project before February 1, 2026 and a final report with copies of receipts or paid invoices to HLF about the progress and impact of the School Engagement Grant before June 15, 2026.*
