Join us for a fun, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn to make your own goat milk soap!

All ingredients and equipment are provided, and you can customize your soap with your choice of fragrance and color.

This class uses the cold process method (not melt-and-pour). You’ll work with natural oils, fresh goat milk, and lye to create handmade soap from scratch.

Because this process involves lye and heating oils, all participants must read and sign the Hold Harmless Agreement before starting.

Protective eyewear, masks, and gloves are provided. Please wear long sleeves, long pants or a skirt, and closed-toe shoes. We recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting stained, as oils or raw soap may occasionally spill or splatter.

Hold Harmless Agreement

Overview

The Rock House Hollow Soap Class Hold Harmless Agreement outlines the responsibilities and liabilities of participants attending soap-making classes at The Rustic Willow.

Purpose of Agreement

This agreement ensures participants acknowledge and accept any risks associated with the soap class activities. By signing, participants agree not to hold Rock House Hollow, DBA Sinking Creek Soaps/Kay Cornelison, The Rustic Willow, or its instructors liable for any injuries, damages, or losses arising from participation.

Assumption of Risk

The Participant understands and acknowledges that participating in the soapmaking class involves certain risks, including but not limited to burns, allergic reactions, slips and falls, and injuries from  equipment. The Participant voluntarily assumes all such risks, both known and unknown.

Medical Consent

The Participant authorizes the Host to arrange emergency medical treatment if necessary and accepts financial responsibility for any costs incurred.
