    Street Poets Inc., in collaboration with Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH), present this CALL FOR ART from LGBTQIA2-S identifying youth and young adults, ages 24 and under, for a community zine. The zine will be composed of selected art, including original poetry pieces written by Street Poets staff, students, and extended community. There will be a digital zine as well as a special release limited edition print zine. Themes of the zine/artwork: "The Fire Within": How does your art light a way forward and/or clear what no longer serves from a Queer lens of community and solidarity? Celebrate queerness while invoking protection, remembrance, and transformation. Submit your best artwork for review.
    • Artist pay-out: $250 stipend per artwork selected (up to $750 in cash prize) + copy of limited print edition zine
    • Up to 3 art works per submission. You can only submit ONCE.
    • Visual art of any medium; no black & white
    • Submissions can be in any language.
    • You do not have to be a U.S. citizen to submit your work.
    • SUBMISSION EXTENDED DEADLINE: 11:59PM PT on Fri, Mar 20th 2026.
    • Selected art will also be showcased during the celebration event on April 17th, 2026.
